This surprised us about the merchandise at Trump's state fair
At the Great American State Fair, attendees looking for merchandise featuring Donald Trump did not find official fair items displaying his image, according to USA TODAY. When the newspaper visited on Tuesday, June 30, it reported that products such as T-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, scarves, bags, and beach towels featured primarily the Freedom 250 emblem, linked to Task Force 250 and the U.S. 250th anniversary effort with federal agencies. The only exceptions were two shirts bearing Harley-Davidson branding and the phrase “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Prices ranged from a few dollars up to $200, including an “America 26/Freedom 26” sports jersey. A blue T-shirt with an “American 250” flag retails for $35, and baseball caps also cost $35. The fair runs on the National Mall through July 10, with daily themed programming. USA TODAY also noted Trump appeared on rally merchandise rather than official fair goods.
