Three in five students never asked a pharmacist for advice and instead turn to AI

A study commissioned by Chlora, a sore throat relief brand, finds students in the UK are far more likely to consult AI than a community pharmacist when they feel unwell. The research of 1,000 students aged 18–24 reports only 6% would ask a community pharmacist for advice first, while more than 60% have never asked one for health guidance. When symptoms appear, Google is the first choice for 27%, and 11% would ask AI. Chlora launches Talk Before You Type to push students to seek trusted care during their first month at university, when many don’t know their nearest pharmacy’s location.
