Time to rage in the cage at the White House. UFC the main event at Trump's 80th birthday bash
Time to rage in the cage at the White House marks a historic spectacle tied to Donald Trump’s 80th birthday and the nation's 250th anniversary. The UFC Freedom 250 event is set on the South Lawn and will stream on Paramount+, offering a rare, televised fight card on presidential grounds. A temporary arena known as the Claw rises over the site—more than 90 feet tall with lights, speakers, and four large screens to relay the action to spectators both inside and beyond the fenced perimeter. Initial estimates floated 20,000 to 25,000 attendees, but organizers say roughly 4,000 will be on-site, while up to 120,000 could watch from outside via lottery and broadcast. Public interest was evident when Conor McGregor publicly teased participation, but later indications suggested he would not participate. The White House says the event will be carried on Paramount+ and is designed to blend sport with a ceremonial look at American milestones, underscoring Trump’s affinity for high-profile, unusual stagecraft.
