Trump on remarks about GOP senator's 'a-': 'This guy's a monster!'

President Trump again drew attention for comments about the appearance of Ohio Sen. John Husted, praising his physique during a rally in North Carolina. Trump said he looked at Husted’s “a-,” legs and feet, adding that tapping his shoulder “actually hurt” and calling him “a monster.” Similar remarks were made at a rally in Ohio a little over a week earlier. The story notes Trump has repeatedly complimented women’s appearances on the campaign trail and has joked he could be “cancelled.” The remarks about men have prompted criticism and mockery, including on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and Fox News’ “The Five.” The race is described as tight against former Sen. Sherrod Brown, with Cook Political Report calling it a “toss up” and Decision Desk HQ placing Brown’s odds at 53%.
