Two defensive players miss Sept. 9 practice for the Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers practiced on Sept. 9 ahead of their Week 1 season opener at the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Matt LaFleur said only two players from the active 53-man roster missed the full-padded session. Defensive tackle Warren Brinson was held out due to a calf injury suffered during warmups before the Packers’ second preseason game against the Denver Broncos. Linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper also did not participate; his exact injury status was unclear, though he was in rehab on the side during the media’s open portion of practice. Right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele was on the field but expected to be limited after offseason knee surgery for a partially torn patellar tendon. Left guard Aaron Banks worked with the line as he recovers from knee tendinitis and is likely to start if healthy.
