Tyrese Maxey, Sixers discuss how healthy team has been in preseason

Camden, N.J. — Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey said the team is entering the preseason’s end with unusually good health, a notable shift after recent injury-filled campaigns. Coach Nick Nurse and the roster have been able to run with a near full group, including Joel Embiid practicing fully and looking mobile in game action. Maxey contrasted this with last year, when it was difficult to get Paul George (PG) on the floor and Embiid also dealt with issues. Nurse said the advantage goes beyond comfort, enabling more offensive set work, special teams training, and late-game organization. The Sixers open Tuesday.
