Aaron Glenn pinpoints Achilles heel that cost Jets chance to beat Patriots

Aaron Glenn said the New York Jets’ 26-19 loss to the New England Patriots came down to execution on both sides of the ball. In Glenn’s second season as Jets head coach, New York has shown early improvement in 2026 with two wins in its first six games, but it couldn’t secure the comeback and win No. 3 at home. The Jets were outmatched in the first half, scoring only a field goal while the Patriots built a 17-3 lead. Geno Smith finished 20 of 30 for 252 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Braelon Allen had 78 rushing yards, while Omar Cooper Jr. caught six passes for 103 yards and a TD. New York hosts the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 on Oct. 25.
