Aero Vodochody secures first African and North American customers for L-39 Skyfox

Aero Vodochody has secured two deals totaling five L-39NG Skyfox jets, marking its first success for the next-generation trainer/light-attack aircraft in Africa and North America. Angola will take four new-build Skyfoxes after initially planning an upgrade of existing Albatros, while a unnamed North American civil operator with an Albatros fleet will take one Skyfox and will commercially represent the brand in the region, marketing the aircraft and hosting demonstrations. A third deal commits four Skyfoxes to an Asian customer, whose identity has not been disclosed. The company confirms these nine aircraft are in production, in addition to four Skyfoxes ordered last year by early customer LOM Praha.
