Avelo Airlines plans fall-winter flights to Florida. When they start

Avelo Airlines announced a fall-wall Florida schedule with additional Lakeland services and Key West flights set to begin in November, extending Florida operations through early March. The carrier plans to run Lakeland services from Detroit and from Grand Rapids, with Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and Gerald R. Ford International (GRR) as focal hubs, plus seasonal Detroit-Orlando/Lakeland links and a New Haven connection. In Detroit, flights to Lakeland are planned up to four days weekly starting in November, then two to three days per week through February, with Grand Rapids service at two days per week through March 1. Avelo is based in Houston, Texas.
