Turkish Technic Plans To Expand Third Party Business | Aviation Week

Turkish Technic is expanding its third-party MRO business as Turkish Airlines’ fleet grows beyond 540 aircraft. Chairman Murat Şeker said the group can maintain about 60 aircraft simultaneously in multiple Turkish hangars. An Istanbul Airport hangar is under construction, and Turkish Technic recently inked a Rolls‑Royce deal to overhaul airframes and engines. The company is also in talks with Boeing and Airbus to establish a widebody component pool from Istanbul to increase capability. Turkiye’s MRO arm generates roughly $1.5–$2 billion in revenue, and the workforce, around 12,000, includes many certified technicians.
