Azerbaijan Airlines launches regular flights to Atyrau and Aktobe
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is launching direct scheduled flights to two Kazakh cities, Atyrau and Aktobe, to expand connectivity between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Tickets are already on sale. The first Atyrau flight will operate on August 16, 2026, while the inaugural Aktobe service is scheduled for September 16, 2026. Flights from Baku to Atyrau and back will run four times per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Baku-Aktobe-Baku route will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. AZAL says the new services will improve business travel and support tourism and people-to-people exchanges, noting Atyrau’s importance as an oil and gas center and Aktobe’s industrial and logistics role. Tickets are available via azal.az and AZAL’s channels.
