Boeing Opens New Shanghai MRO Hangar | Aviation Week

Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has opened a new MRO hangar at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, touted as China’s largest single-span maintenance facility. The joint venture with Boeing, Shanghai Airport Authority and China Eastern Airlines sits in the Lin-gang area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and can accommodate up to four widebody and two narrowbody aircraft concurrently. Established in 2006, the unit services the 787, 777, 767 and 737 families, performs component repairs and modifications, and handles 737-800BCF conversions. Base maintenance contracts with Air Premia and Virgin Atlantic run through 2025, expanding Shanghai’s MRO footprint.
