xCruzo Brief
Boeing logged its slowest order month of 2026 in August, booking 15 gross and net new orders—about 2.5 times fewer than the prior month. The order intake trailed Airbus, which recorded 67 gross orders in the same period. All 15 August orders came from unidentified customers. The backlog composition leaned heavily to widebody aircraft, with 13 787 Dreamliners (including eleven 787-9s and two 787-10s) and just two 737 MAX jets. Deliveries reached 51 aircraft, led by 41 737 MAX deliveries. Southwest received nine and United eight, while others included four 787s, two 777 Freighters, three 767s and one military 737 NG.
