xCruzo Brief
A Delta Air Lines flight heading to Boston diverted to Detroit after the captain suffered a medical emergency on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Delta said that while operating from Los Angeles toward Boston Logan International Airport, a crew member became ill. In an air-traffic recording cited by CBS News and ATC.com, the captain told the tower: he was ill and needed to taxi to the gate so he could go to the hospital. Delta spokesperson Drake Castañeda later said the crew member disembarked at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the flight was re-crewed before departing again for Boston.
