Breeze adds nonstop from Charleston to a Revolutionary-era capital
Breeze Airways is adding nonstop service from Charleston to Trenton, New Jersey, expanding access to a Revolutionary-era capital. Starting Sept. 20, flights will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays between Charleston International Airport and Trenton-Mercer Airport, with introductory one-way fares beginning at $59. The airline says no other carrier currently offers a direct route to Trenton-Mercer from CHS, and the new connection will become Breeze’s 29th nonstop destination out of Charleston. The move also adds to Breeze’s existing New Jersey network, including a twice-weekly nonstop route to Atlantic City launched May 6. Trenton is described as home to the New Jersey State Capitol Building, the state museum and Old Barracks Museum, and as the site of the Battle of Trenton in 1776. Charleston airport CEO Elliott Summey said the route improves convenience for travelers in the Philadelphia and Delaware regions and supports broader Northeast connectivity.
