British Airways pilot jailed eight years for raping groomed minor
A former British Airways pilot, Kwame Yeboah, was sentenced to eight years and four months in prison for grooming and sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. The 30-year-old, Ghana-born and identified as an ex-England youth basketball player, contacted the victim through Omegle and continued explicit conversations on Instagram. Prosecutors said Yeboah drove from Berkshire to Merseyside and raped the child twice in his car after checking into a hotel. Liverpool Crown Court heard he emotionally manipulated the child into meeting him, using references to school tests and images in uniform as indicators of his intent and her youth. He admitted three counts of rape of a child under 13 and one count of assault by penetration. The judge, Gary Woodhall, described him as a “dangerous predator.” Yeboah will be on the sex offenders’ register for life, banned from contacting the victim for 15 years, and British Airways said it dismissed him once informed.
