Cathay Cargo named Cargo Operator of the Year for the fourth time since 2023 in ATW's Airline Industry Achievement Awards - ADU - Aviation Defence Universe

Cathay Cargo was named Cargo Operator of the Year at Air Transport World’s 2027 Airline Industry Achievement Awards, marking the fourth time since 2023 the carrier has won the honor (also in 2023, 2025 and 2026). The award recognizes Cathay Cargo’s focus on expert, customer-focused air cargo services, along with investment in technology and sustainability. Cathay Director Cargo Dominic Perret said the recognition reflects the company’s “can-do spirit” and reaffirmed plans to grow the business and strengthen Hong Kong’s role as a global cargo hub. Cathay Group has committed about HK$150 billion across fleet, cabin and lounge products, and digital innovation, including orders for eight Airbus A350F freighters and a leased Airbus A330 converted freighter operated by Air Hong Kong. In 2025, its SAF programme used 17,400 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel.
