xCruzo Brief

Cirrus has introduced the TRAC10, a purpose-built training aircraft aimed at professional flight schools, expanding its TRAC flight training lineup. The new platform features a turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc FADEC engine, a spacious three-seat cabin designed for crew-based observational training, a Garmin flight deck, and the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). Cirrus says the TRAC10 will be manufactured at its headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota, with U.S. deliveries beginning in 2027 and international deliveries following in 2028. The company has already secured orders totaling more than 100 TRAC10 aircraft from 13 flight schools worldwide. Cirrus cites operational efficiency benefits from a 160-horsepower engine burning as little as 5.9 gallons per hour at 65% power in cruise. It also highlights fuel flexibility using 100LL Avgas and alternatives such as unleaded 91/94 and selected Mogas blends, and notes a warranty and support network.
