The U.S. Coast Guard is searching off Massachusetts near Nantucket for a medical transport jet carrying six people that went missing early Saturday. The aircraft—an FAA-identified Gulfstream G-100—was traveling from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport. The FAA issued a search and rescue alert around 1:20 a.m. after reporting loss of contact, according to the Coast Guard Northeast District. Crews are operating in the waters off Nantucket, about 30 miles south of Cape Cod. The aircraft’s tail number is registered to Canada-based Latitude Air Ambulance.
