Daher Aircraft delivers the first TBM 980 in Brazil

Daher Aircraft delivered the first TBM 980 to a Brazilian customer, introducing the newest fast, efficient turboprop into a market where the TBM family continues to grow among business aviation operators and entrepreneurs. The aircraft was received by a Brazilian entrepreneur who upgraded from a TBM 900, choosing the TBM 980’s third-generation Garmin G3000® PRIME avionics. Daher says the buyer will use it to travel between his cattle ranches and farms across Brazil, including operations from semi-prepared runways. Daher created its São Paulo-based Daher Aircraft Brasil unit last October to strengthen customer relationships and technical support. Since October, Daher reports five TBM 980s and one TBM 960 sold in Brazil, with about 60 TBMs operating there overall.
