SolitAir launches inaugural flight to Bucharest - Romania

SolitAir has launched its inaugural cargo flight to Bucharest’s Otopeni International Airport (OTP), marking its second European Union destination. The move follows the carrier’s ACC3 designation (Air Cargo and Mail Carrier from a Third Country) granted by the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority, enabling cargo and mail operations into the EU under aviation-security rules. The service runs directly from SolitAir’s hub at Dubai World Central (DWC), tapping a corridor linking its Middle East, Africa and Asia network to the EU single market. Romania’s 2025 trade with the UAE exceeded $500 million, according to UN Comtrade. SolitAir operates seven Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters and targets growth to 20 aircraft from its 20,440-square-meter DWC cargo hub.
