Denies Iranian Claims It Destroyed F-35 Jets

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) rejected claims by Iranian officials that Iran destroyed multiple American F-35 jets in an attack on a Jordanian base. In a statement on social media, CENTCOM said no U.S. aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent attempted Iranian attacks and that all missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach intended areas. The response targeted allegations from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), carried by Tasnim News, which claimed three F-35 aircraft and three other U.S. planes were shot down at Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan. The dispute came as fighting resumed between Iran and the U.S.-aligned side, with Jordan reporting interceptions and Kuwait reporting a fatal strike.
