Disruptive' passenger restrained on Jet2 flight dies - AOL
A disruptive passenger restrained on a Jet2 flight has died, according to police reports. Officers were called shortly before 02:30 BST on Monday to reports that a man was acting aggressively toward passengers and cabin crew on an inbound aircraft from Larnaca to Manchester, and that an assault had occurred. After landing at Manchester Airport, officers used handcuffs to detain 35-year-old Callum Kerr of Warrington, but he was found unresponsive; first aid and CPR were carried out before he was taken to hospital, where he died on Tuesday. Greater Manchester Police said it made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to police contact prior to his death. The IOPC investigation will focus on the actions and decision-making of five officers, while GMP is investigating the public involvement.
