Drunk 'architect of the year' attacked flight attendant who asked her to keep quiet for sleeping baby: 'You're a f--king dumb air hostess'
A drunk passenger previously crowned “architect of the year” assaulted a Virgin Airlines flight attendant after being asked to keep quiet due to a sleeping 9-month-old baby, police said. Simone de Gale, 44, erupted on a February flight from Dubai to London, where staffer Sarah Jane Buckland asked her not to walk through an aisle while the family rested. Prosecutors at Ealing Magistrates’ Court described the passenger as “really aggressive,” including verbal abuse and physical conduct: de Gale allegedly jabbed Buckland in the neck and yanked at her cardigan, and called crew members “racist.” Footage showed de Gale insisting she never “touched anyone or anything.” Police found her staggering, slurring speech, and smelling of alcohol. She was convicted Thursday on four charges after skipping court, and she remained on the run, officials said.
