Embraer Picks Fokker For Dutch KC-390 Support | Aviation Week
xCruzo Brief
Embraer has selected Dutch MRO provider Fokker Services to support the KC-390 tanker/transport aircraft that the Royal Netherlands Air Force will receive. The agreement, announced Nov. 3, tasks Fokker with providing field service representatives and support to help the aircraft enter service. Embraer says the deal aligns with the Netherlands’ push to rely more on commercial maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities for its fleet. KLM, for example, is involved in supporting the military’s rotorcraft fleet. The Netherlands chose the KC-390 in 2022 to replace its Lockheed Martin C-130s and has five aircraft on firm order, with Fokker’s role intended to ease sustainment.
