Embraer secures global certification for Praetor 500E business jet
Embraer has secured global certification for its Praetor 500E business jet, clearing the aircraft with authorities in Brazil, the United States, and Europe and positioning it for deliveries starting in 2029. The São Paulo-based company says approvals came from Brazil’s ANAC, the FAA in the U.S., and EASA in Europe, following earlier certification work on the larger Praetor 600E earlier this year. For passengers, the 500E features a redesigned cabin with new seating, an updated management system, and expanded connectivity, including lighting, temperature, and entertainment controls via a digital interface. Optional features add Bluetooth audio and voice controls. The jet retains a flat-floor cabin and a six-foot interior height. For pilots, full fly-by-wire controls, Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS), and ROAAS are designed to reduce workload. Range is rated at 3,340 nautical miles with four passengers.
