Families will save thousands thanks to Ryanair's newly tweaked seating policy
Ryanair has confirmed that its family seating policy will be enforced from June 25, aiming to keep families seated together for a “reasonable price.” The airline said it does not charge children a fee to sit beside a parent or accompanying adult. Adults booking a reserved seat with children may pay for one reserved seat fee and select reserved seats next to them for up to four children in the same booking, free of charge. Ryanair said that from June 25, adults traveling with children who do not want reserved seats will be shown their seat allocation (free of charge) after check-in. The carrier said families choosing random allocation are often placed at the rear, while front seats can be reserved for a fee. Ryanair expects the change to be revenue-neutral.
