Haweenka Kenya oo looga digay isticmaalka khaldan ee daawada Cetirizine - BBC News Somali
Farmacist leaders in Kenya warned women against inserting cetirizine allergy tablets into the genital area after misinformation spread on social media. The concern followed posts claiming the medicine could reduce vaginal “wetness” and increase sexual pleasure, sparking debate and potentially dangerous behavior. The Pharmacy Society of Kenya (PSK) stressed that cetirizine is intended to be swallowed, not used on delicate genital tissue, and that its ingredients have not been tested for that purpose. PSK cautioned that misuse could cause harm, listing possible symptoms such as burning, itching, unusual discharge, bleeding, and fever, and urged anyone affected to seek medical attention. The PSK warning came a day after Kenya’s health ministry voiced concern.
