The Airbus A350-1000ULR underscores the next era of ultra-long-haul aviation by targeting record-breaking nonstop routes, notably for Qantas’ Project Sunrise. Airbus has not published a formal range figure, but industry estimates put the aircraft beyond 9,700 nautical miles (18,000 km). Qantas’ custom-designed variant is scheduled to enter service in 2027 and is engineered for flights of about 22 hours using added fuel capacity, including a rear center tank.
