An investigation is underway into the cause of the B-52 crash that killed eight. The United States Air Force B-52 Stratofortress crashed after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base at about 11:20 a.m. local time on June 15 during a radar modernization test mission. The base remains closed and visitor passes have been halted as authorities assess what happened. Officials said the crash was unsurvivable and eight people on board were killed, including a mix of military personnel and civilian contractors.
