Jets might have an answer to their kicker woes -- even after ghastly miss

After the New York Jets’ 23-10 win over the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium, the kicking picture looks clearer for at least the short term, though the competition is still unresolved. Jason Sanders, selected by coach Aaron Glenn for Sunday, went 3-for-4 on field goals. His miss was a hooked 54-yarder that fell about 20 yards short, but he responded with a 51-yard field goal in the third quarter and a 52-yarder in the fourth. Sanders was re-signed to the practice squad after being released in final cuts, and Blake Grupe was also added. Glenn said the kicking battle remains active heading into Week 2.
