Lexington Park Photographer Captures Stunning Blue Angels Moments At 2026 Pax River Air Show
A photographer from Lexington Park, Maryland, captured standout Blue Angels moments during the 2026 Pax River Air Show held at NAS Patuxent River. Retired Marine Andre Smith, who operates as Kinetic Pixels Photography, documented dramatic scenes including vapor trails and precision maneuvers at speeds of hundreds of miles per hour. Smith said the weekend gave him another chance to shoot aircraft with the same skills he previously applied to wildlife photography, especially birds such as ospreys, bald eagles and kingfishers at Pax River. In the week before the show, he bought a Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera and studied its autofocus using fast-moving swallows on base. He aimed for a symmetrical Blue Angels composition and, while his exact vision did not fully materialize, he highlighted a favorite image showing Blue Angels No. 7 during a steep climb.
