NetJets aircraft crashes on Texas highway, killing one and injuring five

NetJets confirmed one of its aircraft crashed on a highway near Laredo, Texas, killing one person and injuring five. The private jet, a Cessna 680A, had departed San José del Cabo, Mexico, and was bound for Austin. The crash occurred around 10 p.m. local time Tuesday, with six people aboard, per the FAA. Investigations are underway with the FAA and NTSB, the latter taking the lead. NetJets identified the aircraft as tail number N523QS and offered crisis support to affected families. Five survivors were transported to local hospitals in stable condition, while the identity of the deceased was being withheld.
