New airline to operate weekly flights from Bristol Airport in 2027

Discover Airlines will start weekly flights from Bristol Airport to Frankfurt in May 2027, with services scheduled twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Bristol Airport says the new route will complement increased capacity from Germany and Switzerland next year, helping drive more leisure and business travel into the region. The airline partnership is being supported locally, with Bristol Airport highlighting work with Visit West and noting the Frankfurt connection will also enable onward trips to more than 150 destinations worldwide. Visit West’s Kathryn Davis said Germany is one of the largest inbound tourism markets and expects a boost to the visitor economy. Discover Airlines’ Marco Götz added that the route would be the carrier’s first destination in England and the only nonstop connection from Frankfurt to the South West during summer 2027. The city offers connections via high-speed rail and major autobahns, with easy access to regional attractions.
