Onex consortium to acquire AirSprint
Onex Partners announced it will lead the acquisition of AirSprint as part of a consortium including the Onex Partners Opportunities Fund, TriWest Capital Partners and other co-investors. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to close in Q3 2026. AirSprint’s Founder & Chairman Judson Macor and President & CEO James Elian, along with certain current shareholders, will remain investors after the transaction closes. Based in Calgary with offices in Toronto and Montréal, AirSprint operates what it describes as the largest fractional private aircraft fleet in Canada. The company serves 600+ Fractional Owners with coast-to-coast access to thousands of destinations across Canada. Onex said the investment is intended to support AirSprint’s next phase of growth, including fleet expansion, operational improvements, technology investments and initiatives to strengthen its position in Canada’s private aviation market. Onex also cited AirSprint’s workforce of more than 400 professionals.
