Only 60% Full: Southwest's 11 Emptiest Routes From This Massive Airport [Map]

Southwest Airlines’ Denver base is running strong on total flying capacity, but several routes are noticeably thin. Cirium scheduling data shows Southwest planned 7,614 flights from Denver International Airport (DEN) in August, ahead of Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas with 7,114. Yet Cirium load-factor data for the 12 months to May 2026 finds 11 Southwest Denver routes below 72%. The lowest was Denver to Midland/Odessa (MAF), where Southwest filled just 60.1% of seats across 248 rotations. This was below Southwest’s system average load factor of 77.5% for the same period.
