Panicked Residents Call 911 Over Shock Trump Move
Residents in Washington, D.C. called 911 in panic after a large jet flew low over their homes this Halloween week, fearing an imminent crash. Audio from dispatch revealed that some callers reported the aircraft’s roar as it passed nearby, and they were told Air Force One was “on maneuvers.” The situation was later explained as a low fly-by from Air Force One, conducted for trick-or-treaters at the White House. D.C. Fire was dispatched early Thursday night after the calls, but the White House had posted a clip of the flyover shortly before. Federal Aviation Administration officials said the maneuver was coordinated and followed protocol, and an FAA notice reportedly provided about 15 minutes’ warning in downtown and other nearby areas. Altitude was reported between roughly 400 and 1,000 feet.
