Passenger fighting for life after being 'pinned down' on flight
A disruptive passenger on a Jet2 flight to Manchester Airport became critically ill after being restrained by police, according to Greater Manchester Police. The man, in his 30s, allegedly drank heavily before boarding a five-hour trip from Cyprus on Sunday, June 21. Witnesses told the media that he argued with his girlfriend before cabin crew moved her to another seat, then became disruptive by pacing the aisle and shouting; passengers claimed he headbutted another traveller and threatened others. Several passengers restrained him until the aircraft landed at 2:25am on Monday, June 22, when police found him unresponsive. Officers performed CPR and later requested a defibrillator; he was taken to hospital. The investigation is underway into reports of aggression toward passengers and crew.
