Regarding the court proceedings with UAB "GetJet Airlines" concerning the charter flight agreement | Taiwan News | Jun. 30, 2026 14:24
A Lithuanian court ruling has escalated a dispute involving Novaturas and UAB “GetJet Airlines” over a charter flight agreement signed on 3 December 2018. On 29 June 2026, the Court of Appeal of Lithuania issued a decision in the parties’ case concerning alleged non-performance during the COVID-19 period. The company notes that, after a 28 November 2024 Supreme Court ruling partially overturned an earlier Court of Appeal decision, the appellate court re-examined parts of the matter. The Court of Appeal partially upheld GetJet Airlines’ claim, ordering Novaturas to pay EUR 4,500,000 in penalties plus 8% annual interest calculated from 5 March 2021 until full enforcement. Since EUR 1,150,000 was already paid, the additional principal is EUR 3,350,000, excluding interest and litigation costs. The ruling took effect on 29 June 2026, and both sides may file cassation within three months.
