RFK Jr. uses military aircraft as he campaigns for GOP in midterms

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has used military aircraft while campaigning for Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections, according to four unnamed sources. The Washington Post reports that he flew on an Air Force-operated Gulfstream jet on Aug. 17 from the Washington area to Des Moines, arriving hours before his first Iowa event. The Defense Department charges about $9,000 per hour for the Gulfstream. Sources say the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services signed off on the plan, while use has been infrequent due to additional costs and government protocols. An internal cost comparison cited places commercial flights around $250 for the Washington–Des Moines route.
