Rowdy passenger bites fellow flyer on flight to Philadelphia: 'HE'S TRYING TO FIGHT EVERYBODY'
An American Airlines flight into Philadelphia was met by emergency medical personnel after a passenger reportedly bit another traveler and became combative, according to pilot accounts captured in air traffic control audio. The incident occurred Sunday on flight AA3046 from Charlotte, North Carolina, with the pilot telling a controller that the man was “trying to fight everybody” and had bitten another passenger before landing. The pilot requested that an emergency medical crew and law enforcement meet the aircraft at Philadelphia International Airport as a precaution. American Airlines said the passenger was experiencing a medical emergency and that a medical professional on board assisted before touchdown. The airline did not confirm whether police were present after arrival. The report also cited other recent unruly-passenger events, including a Delta traveler removed for refusing to end a phone call prior to takeoff.
