Samsung Galaxy Book6 Arrives at $799, but Its AI Misses Copilot+ Certification

Samsung’s 14-inch Galaxy Book6 launches Aug. 31 with prices starting at $799, positioning it as a Windows alternative to Apple’s MacBook Neo in the sub-$1,000 segment. The headline issue is AI-laptop eligibility: despite an Intel Core Series 3 design using Wildcat Lake NPU technology rated up to 15 TOPS, the Galaxy Book6 falls short of Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC certification requirement of 40 TOPS specifically from the NPU. As a result, features tied to Copilot+—including Windows Recall, Click to Do, and real-time translation captions—are not available. The model includes up to 16GB of LPDDR5X and 256GB to 1TB storage, a 1920×1200 350-nit 16:10 display, and a non-backlit keyboard at this price.
