Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reportedly used a military jet to travel to Republican campaign events, according to The Washington Post and other outlets cited in the report. One trip included a stop in Iowa to campaign alongside GOP candidates ahead of the midterms, where he supported state congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Republican gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn. The reporting also says Kennedy has promoted business-related initiatives, including efforts aimed at parents dealing with addiction and a visit to a community center. The Post said it’s unclear how often the secretary used the jet, billed at $9,000 per hour. The story was published the same week as coverage that Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul’s staffers used private jets in 2024.
