Skip the stopovers and fly direct to sand, sea and sun - Jersey Evening Post

C.I. Travel Group says demand for direct flights from Jersey is rising as disruptions in UK airspace make connections harder. Speaking to the Jersey Evening Post, C.I. Travel director Alex Devlin argued that flying straight to the holiday destination reduces the risk of missed connections, the cost of layovers, and the stress of transiting through London airports. He cited that FlyDirect has already carried 12,000 passengers from Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man this summer. For 2027, the programme adds more departures and introduces a new route: a direct service from both Jersey and Guernsey to Olbia in Sardinia. Devlin said the Sardinia offer is driven by customer feedback and market research, and he pointed to the island’s Mediterranean beaches and travel appeal. Existing options listed include Faro, Ibiza, Malaga and Palma.
