Three key Patriots offensive cogs leave game vs. Jets with injuries
xCruzo Brief
The New England Patriots got star wide receiver A.J. Brown back but lost Romeo Doubs to injury during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Doubs suffered a shoulder injury on a 42-yard touchdown catch midway through the first quarter and did not return. He walked off under his own power and initially went to the blue medical tent before exiting to the locker room. Doubs had become a key target for quarterback Drake Maye, scoring a third touchdown of the season. With Doubs out, New England relied on Brown, DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism. The Patriots also saw tackles Morgan Moses (ankle) and Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring) exit, with rookie Caleb Lomu taking Moses’ spot.
