Two Training Providers Partner on Pilot Pathway
Simaero and Cannes Aviation Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create a pilot-training pathway for airlines, covering initial training through aircraft type qualification. The agreement combines Cannes Aviation Academy’s flight school and ATPL training with Simaero’s type rating and advanced training capabilities. Together, the partners plan to develop MPL, cadet, and integrated ATPL cadet programs that include type rating, shaped to meet airlines’ operational, commercial, and regulatory requirements. The companies also intend to coordinate responses to airline requests for proposals for these integrated and cadet tracks. Under the framework, Cannes Aviation Academy keeps operational and regulatory control for training delivered under its ATO approval, including student admission, commercial pilot training, instrument rating, and multi-engine training in line with EASA and DGAC rules. Simaero’s role is to provide type rating and advanced airline training.
