United Airlines will add 14 new nonstop routes from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in 2026, expanding beyond a mix of regional markets to Tokyo Narita (NRT). One standout is the new nonstop service to Santa Fe, New Mexico (SAF), where the market had no Chicago nonstop until American Airlines entered in December 2025. United plans to start its ORD–SAF flights in December 2026 using an Embraer 175, giving the corridor two daily flights—one by American and one by United. The update comes as Atlanta remains the world’s busiest by passengers with 106 million in 2025, while ORD leads aircraft movements with more than 857,000 takeoffs and landings.
