United Ends Newark to Lima Flights on 27 March 2027
xCruzo Brief
United Airlines will end its only nonstop service from Newark to Lima, Peru, effective Saturday, 27 March 2027, forcing travelers from the U.S. Northeast to connect instead. On the same date, United says it will double its Houston to Lima route from one daily flight to two, shifting the long-haul connectivity hub for many passengers to George Bush Intercontinental Airport. United has not cited a specific reason, saying it regularly adjusts schedules based on seasonality, demand and other market factors. The Newark–Lima pairing dates to Continental’s era and was carried over after the 2010 merger.
