Weir Insurance linked a pilot wellbeing programme to improved employee health metrics and its strongest first-quarter trading performance since the business began in 1972. The broker reported that it ran an eight-week Mandala42 Protocol through AstralMandala with a pilot group of 10 employees, covering nutrition, sleep, movement, social connection and time in nature. Managing director Karen Weir said the company saw a 120% increase in enquiries and a 61% rise in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), attributing changes to staff feeling better. Participants were assessed before and after using blood biometrics and an emotional wellbeing measure, with all 10 showing blood pressure improvements and inflammation markers improving in seven. Scores on an Emotional Capacity Index rose by an average of 39%. AstralMandala said it is collecting data from additional cohorts to develop the programme.
