BSTDB disburses over €630M for projects in Georgia
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) reported disbursing about €631.2 million for projects in Georgia as of Aug. 31, 2026, according to its portfolio data. The bank’s board approved 47 projects in Georgia totaling €414.64 million, while 46 signed projects were worth €399.87 million. Of those, disbursements were made for 45 projects, bringing actual funded amounts to €631.2 million. The financial sector dominates the portfolio, representing 89.98%—about €567.96 million—based on the same structure. Utilities rank second at 6.81%, roughly €43 million. Smaller shares include industry at 1.84% (around €11.6 million) and consumer staples at 1.38% (about €8.7 million). Examples include €25 million for Basisbank for small and medium-sized business and green investments, €7 million in trade financing for Is Bank, and financing for Terabank TF (€7 million) and TBC Leasing 5 (€10 million). The BSTDB is an international lender established by member countries of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, with Georgia among its founding members.
